Who was P.J. du Plessis

The late P.J. "Doep" du Plessis spent a large part of his life as missionary in Zimbabwe. During his life he was missionary, teacher, lecturer, director of Bible Studies but always a student of the Bible nd the Christian religion.

Nicknamed Chikwashuro ("the arrow that never misses") by the vaKaranga Christians in Zimbabwe, because of his open and straight-forward approach to life - he lived what he preached..

After returning to South Africa he served as school headmaster in Venda and KwaZulu Natal and when he retired to Bloemfontein, he worked with the National Council for the Blind to standardise Braille in the various South African languages.

His knowledge of the Bible, and its application in modern times, was extensive. The study of the Bible was his life's work, his hobby and his passion. After his retirement to Bloemfontein he ran a kiosk, distributing to Bibles and tracts.

It was his wish that his books be distributed free.
